They know they can’t win fair and square If everyone votes, they’re aware They will lose, so they kill The Voting Rights Bill And violate the oath they did swear With no evidence of voter fraud to date Republicans pass laws now in states Black votes to rebuff When that’s not enough They put forth false elector slates And leaving nothing to chance They do the gerrymander dance And skirting the law Districts they redraw To ensure the outcome in advance Like NPR’s Inskeep we must try To refute the insidious lie Fact check each answer Or it’ll spread like cancer And kill our democracy by and by
