Dr. Fauci: A Stellar Public Servant (1-5/23)

A great public servant is he
Determined to cure HIV
Also stop or ease
Infectious diseases
He has never been absentee

For 7 POTUS’ he did work
Of them, only one was a jerk
He’s a truth teller
Character, stellar
Hard work he never did shirk

Under pressure he never did crack
Even when under attack
When surrounded by clowns
He never backed down
He followed science and facts

As a doctor his passion came through
And he led many a breakthrough
And humble is he
Though an honoree
Spent his life working for you

So, now he prepares to step down
This man of worldwide renown
Clearly no slouch, he
Is our Dr Fauci
Thank you for making the rounds

Courage, he exemplifies
He’ll be retired by and by
He has more to offer
And so, I proffer
That we say farewell, not good-bye
