Ms. Jenny is a retired aviation executive. She spent much of her career bringing disparate groups together to forge consensus on some of the toughest issues separating them. Hi Margaret Jenny,
You may recall I sent you a limerick response back in the day, as I was a friend of Mary Bakota’s (we parted ways 3+ years ago). For some reason I stopped getting your limerick fare (I subscribed) but recently it has come back into my inbox. In any case, as a Bethesda born/bred boy, who moved down to his woodsy beach house near Bethany Beach upon retirement three years ago, and who’s subsequently moved back (bought a condo in Chevy Chase last summer but still have my beach place) into town as I missed the urban flow, I’m now reaching out to individuals and groups to make friendly connections. Hence, if you’d ever like to get together for a cup of tea and a stab at writing verse, limerick or otherwise, I’d be game as, truth be told, I fancy myself a capable lover-of-words wordsmith and in the words of another, “nothing ventured, nothing gained”. So, please keep attending to your patriotic duty as you do so well and spread your word.
