The truth of that day they rebut
Though evidence is so clear-cut
He summoned the throng
Though he knew it was wrong
If not insurrection, then what?

Attacking police in their way
As he just observed the melee
Toppling fences
They chant “Hang Mike Pence”
We must not forget this dark day

Our history’s worst dereliction
Now he says it is a fiction
They’re heroes he claims
To which I say “shame”
We can’t let stand his false depiction
