To be grateful, I think there is plenty

I’m grateful we came to our senses
That we’ll say goodbye to the Pences
We’ll no longer spar
With the likes of Bill Barr
And speak of Trump in the past tenses
I’m grateful we’ll have an adult
Who with science experts consults
Who when fairly questioned
About a transgression
Won’t stoop to defame and insult
I’m grateful that Ivanka and Jared
From them our lives we will be spar-ed
As they leave DC
We’ll watch with glee
More of them we could not have bar-ed
I’m grateful that Mikey Pompeo
Is reaching his very last dayo
And our diplomatic core
They will once more
Have a leader who respects what they sayo
I’m grateful that Betsy DeVoss
Out on her a** she’ll be tossed
Along with DeJoy
And both of Trump’s boys
And none of them will be a loss
I’m grateful to say bye-bye to Wheeler
Our water and air needs a healer
Though Mitch’ll be around
His wife Chao’s leaving town
Along with Rudy, the wheeler dealer
I’m grateful for Joe’s cabinet choices
The diversity designed to give voice
To our diverse land
Their experience is grand
Public servants everywhere, rejoice!

That we’ve seen the last of Mark Meadows
We’ll hear no more daily
Clear lies from Kayleigh
That blue votes outnumbered the red-o
I’m grateful that Peter Navarro
Will no longer pedal bizarro

Oh, yes, I fear he’s
Going the way of the Tsaro
I’m grateful that things aren’t so dreary
That Kudlow and his V-shaped theory
Like this horrid year
Will soon disappear
And we won’t all be COVID-weary
I’m grateful Melania’s leaving
Her exodus will cause no grieving
As she bids adieu

As first lady she did no achieving
I’m grateful that Azar and Ross
Will both soon have a new boss
Ben Carson, as well
And this 4-year hell
Will be over because Donald LOST
I’m grateful for DA Cyrus Vance
Whose law suit still does advance
So maybe one day
Trump’ll be put away
And we will see justice perchance
I’m grateful that this sorry lot
Whose loyalty clearly was bought
Has been voted away
For Joe Biden, make way
To the voters, I say “Thanks a lot!”
I’m grateful each will be replaced
With public servants who will not debase
Our Constitution
Will strive for solutions
To the problems that this country faces
I’m grateful most of all for my friends
And family on whom I depend
Who’ve been there for me
Whether with me they agree
