In the world of the RNC dreams
Where not one thing is as it seems
There Trump’s empathetic
And apologetic
And never tweets out horrid memes
Through the looking glass they all did venture
For a 4-day surreal adventure
On the foreign front
He’s in the forefront
Not on a bold misadventure
He’s done more for Blacks than all former
Presidents, and couldn’t be warmer
He cares about you
He’ll always come through
He’s nothing if not a performer
For Civil rights he beats the drum
He’s the smartest of Wharton alum
Eric and Don Trump
For Donald they stump
As Tweedledee and Tweedledum
Through the glass DJT breezes
Escaping the COVID diseases
And like Humpty Dumpty
Donald gets grumpy
If he can’t do just as he pleases
She’d rather see her own reflection
But Melania has no objection
To spinning a tale
Her loyalty’s for sale
All for inheritance protection
He cares about immigrants too
He’s someone to look up to
He loves his niece
Joe’ll defund the Police
He’s kept all his promises to you
He inherited a stagnant economy
His IGs have total autonomy
He’s not a fat slob
He rescued your job
With DJT we should have synonymy
Trump welcomes different points of view
And listens to others, who knew?
And Pence is declaring
That he’s warm and caring
On the side of the glass they went through
In this world there’s no climate change
And boldface lies aren’t seen as strange
Alternative facts
Breaking contracts
Reality is rearranged
You’re dumb if don’t commit fraud
Or see as the enemy – the Squad
Where they repeat
Trump’s not a cheat
And Biden will take away God
Through the looking glass is where they went
Where what is said is not what is meant
They just have no shame
Take none of the blame
That most of you can’t pay your rent
“‘Twas brillig, and the slithy toves”[1]
His followers proceeded in droves
It’s where black is white
And wrong is right
And liars lurk in the alcoves
Lewis Carrol couldn’t make this stuff up
The fantasy world they’ve made-up
But our ills can be cured
If November third
We make Donald the runner-up
