I’m Sorry (10-6-20)

Most people you just disregard
God knows you can’t write like the bard
So, with you I share
Words you should declare
You’ll find it’s not really so hard
 
I‘m sorry for the many who’ve died
I’m sorry for how often I’ve lied
Thank docs for my care
Which is beyond compare
What I’ve learned will now be my guide
 
I’m sorry I took a joyride
I’ll stop holding rallies inside
I’ll keep staff protected
Trace those infected
I’ll let CDC be our guide
 
I’ll change rules for White House staffs’ sake
From my name calling, I’ll take a break
To so many I owe
My health, so please know
For those in pain, how my heart aches

For most this has been a nightmare
No one has my great healthcare
But I’m now aware
And I do declare
Of COVID we should all beware
